The LEAGUE of Amazing Programmers is a San Diego-based nonprofit organization that teaches coding to kids and teens in 3th-12th grade. We take students through 8 levels of mastery – from beginner all the way to being a job-ready, certified programmer!
Our mission is to help more youth, including girls and underserved students, acquire the skills and education needed to be leaders in the digital age, and contribute to the workforce of the 21st century. We aim to create a positive impact on all students by helping them develop critical thinking skills and self-confidence through learning computer programming.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that over 1 million programming jobs in the U.S. will be unfilled by 2022. The LEAGUE seeks to address this problem by teaching students to code, getting them interested at a young age so that they are more likely to pursue programming in college and in their careers.
Our curriculum culminates in Oracle Professional Certification preparation, enabling graduates to enter the workforce as programmers immediately after high school without requiring a college degree. Young students' lives are positively impacted through the critical thinking skills and self-confidence they gain from learning with The LEAGUE!
Experienced educators and industry professionals guide students through every level, offering mentorship, certification prep, and project coaching.
