AI Project Clinic
A free, application-based League Labs clinic where student teams work with professional engineers to plan, build, and ship high-quality software using Claude Code and a rigorous engineering process.
Course Overview
AI Project Clinic is an internship-style experience inside League Labs. Student teams are paired with professional engineer mentors who help them plan, build, and ship real software using a rigorous engineering process and AI tooling including Claude Code.
Students can work on a wide variety of projects, based on their own ideas or requests from a client:
- Personal interest — build something you’re curious about. Bring your own idea or work with a mentor to develop one.
- Science fair — build a computational project designed for science fair competition, with mentor guidance on research methodology and presentation.
- Sponsored — take on a real project from a local nonprofit or business. These are typically web applications that solve a genuine need for an outside organization.
Students will learn to work like professional engineers: writing a clear spec, defining requirements and success criteria, breaking work into milestones, tracking progress in GitHub, and delivering iterative demos through sprints.
Students who aren’t matched with a mentor can still participate through open meetings and presentations where we share project walkthroughs, engineering lessons learned, and practical techniques for shipping software.
